You may book by calling 325-669-0808 or by using our website www.henriettasheritagehouse.com. The quoted prices are before tax, and the state and local hotel tax rate in Hamlin is 14.25%. One half of the total tab is required to be paid by credit card at the time of booking to secure the reservation. The other half is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival. We prefer the politeness of dealing with the financial business part of your stay prior to arrival, so we don’t have to discuss indelicate items such as money at the time of your arrival. That way, when you arrive, you are here to be welcomed. You are here to enjoy, not transact a business deal.


Due to our size, cancellations affect us greatly; therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. As stated above, one half of the total bill is due at the time of booking. It secures your place in our property, and that room is being taken off the market and further guests are turned away.
For that reason, the booking deposit is nonrefundable unless we can replace your booking with another guest. Thirty days prior to arrival date, the other half of your room deposit is due and is also non-refundable. If we are able to replace your booking with a replacement guest, the amount you have paid minus a $50 processing fee will be refunded to you. Please be advised that any cancellation made after booking and payment will not be refunded if we are unable to replace your booking.


Arrival time is after 3:00 p.m. and departure time is before 11:00 a.m. Please make arrangements with management for early arrival or late departure to determine if that is possible.

Swimming Pool

Pool hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please be advised that there is no life guard on duty, so this is “swim at your own risk”. We ask that you refrain from bringing any glass items near the pool, and that you respect the other guests regarding noise and usage.

Quiet Hours

Because of the size of our property, we ask that you be respectful of fellow guests regarding noise. We suggest “quiet hours” between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. in the halls, stairwells and public areas. If you are with a group and wanting to visit past 10 p.m., please retreat to one of the outdoor spaces to continue your gathering. Think of Mom and what she taught you about good manners and being respectful to others.


Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. on week days and 9:00 a.m. on weekends. However, breakfast hours can be changed to accommodate the needs of our guests. Breakfast is traditionally served in the historic dining room on fine china. The menu will vary but will always be delicious and delightfully presented! We request that you make arrangements prior to arrival if you have special dietary concerns. Other breakfast dining options include a private table for two in your room (let us know ahead of time), downstairs in the garden, on the many porches upstairs or downstairs or on the patio. You may decide to join new friends at a larger table in the dining room. It is up to you. Whatever makes you happy!
